IG HK Sharma,PTM,TM (Retd) is an eminent and highly respected veteran of the Indian Coast Guard under the Ministry of Defence (GOI), with over 37 years of dedicated service to the nation. A symbol of integrity, professionalism & visionary leadership, he superannuated on 31 Jan 2025 as Deputy Director General (M&M), the Technical Head of the service, in the rank of Inspector General.

He was twice honoured by the Honourable President of India with the President’s Tatrakshak Medal (PTM) and Tatrakshak Medal (TM) for his exemplary service.

A qualified Psychologist (TO) trained at the prestigious Defence Institute of Psychological Research (DIPR), Delhi, he possesses over 15 years of experience in the Service Selection Board (SSB) and has headed the Board as President. He has also contributed to the selection of officers for the Indian Army.

Presently, as the Commandant of the Samvid Group of Schools, he is passionately engaged in nurturing young cadets by instilling in them the values of discipline, patriotism, integrity, leadership & moral excellence. His vision is to develop responsible citizens and future leaders who embody the spirit of service, character and national pride.

His motivation and guidance aim to mentor aspiring cadets for success in SSB for NDA and other entries, enabling them to serve the nation as officers in the Indian Defence Forces.
